Beat Credit Card Fraud!
In order to protect both you and Family Boxoffice from Internet Credit
Card fraud, we have found it necessary to institute a credit card validation
process for ALL CREDIT CARDS used to purchase goods on the FBO website.
Eliminating Credit Card fraud is everybodies responsibility and assists
us in keeping our prices consistently low.
Simply put, credit cards used for the first time to purchase products
on this site will need to be validated.
This is a one time only procedure
per card, and once the card is securely validated, you will be able
to use that account normally. You can validate as many
cards as you wish and use any validated card for any purchase.
The validation process is a simple one and ensures that only you can
authorize the use of your card. Any unauthorized use of your card will
be reported to the relevant credit card fraud section and yourself.

| Validation
Procedure (First Time Card Use Only)
The purpose of this system is
to prove that you have the authority to use this card. This simple
process is outlined below.
- Within 60 minutes of your purchase,
The total cost of your selected items ( less the shipping charges
) will be randomly divided into two amounts which are automatically
charged to your account. ( This is also true
if you have only purchased 1 DVD )
- The second stage is for you to check your account and advise us of the two values withdrawn. Only you will be able to do this, as this is your own credit card account.
Please check these charges to your account by Internet Banking,
telephoning your bank directly or the Telephone Banking services
offered by your card.
These amounts are usually available to you within 48 hours of
the original order being placed. (see note below)
Some Australian and
Overseas banks do not process transactions in real time. This
may result in the validation amounts being delayed to you for
up to 5 days. To see if this is the case with your bank, check
a previous credit card statement and compare the time difference
between transaction and the charge dates of your previous purchases.

These validation amounts
will appear on your statement as shown above. If you are
overseas, your bank will provide an associated note that
details the amount in Australian dollars that was withdrawn.
This is the preferred currency amounts that you should use
when advising us.

The last stage is
for you to advise us of the sums drawn. If these two figures
correspond to the ones we know we drew, then we will have
jointly verified the card is indeed yours, and also that
you are person using it.
To complete this, proceed to YOUR ACCOUNT page and use the
VALIDATION DETAILS button to go to a secure advice form.
Complete the validation form by advising us of the values
that were withdrawn. It is important that you enter all
details accurately, including the name as shown on the credit
card.
If you are unable to find
out the Australian currency amounts, simply change the "Currency
Type"to your local currency and we will manually
validate your card.

Your first order will
be dispatched and the shipping costs will now be charged
to your account.

That's it! This process
should be completed within approximately 48 hours.
If you wish to cancel the validation of a particular card,
please contact
us directly to make suitable arrangements. If you have
retained the two sums we withdrew to validate your card initially,
this will be very straightforward to do.
